Privacy Policy
Last updated June 10, 2026
Plain-language summary: we collect the minimum needed to run accounts and subscriptions, nothing loads for tracking until you consent, and we never sell personal data.
1. Who we are
The Narraitive (“we”) operates this website. For any privacy question or request, contact hello@thenarraitive.com.
2. Data we collect
Account data: email address and authentication identifiers when you create an account. Subscriber profile (you choose what to share):first name, city, company, role, industry, your partner's first name if you provide it, section choices, topic keywords you send by replying to the brief, and timezone — all optional, all used only to personalize your brief. Replies: replying to the brief routes to our editorial inbox; short topic keywords are saved to your profile, and poll votes/takes are stored in aggregate. Delivery data: the channel you pick (email, Telegram, or Discord) and the address or handle for it. Preferences: theme choice and cookie-consent decisions. Usage data (consent-based): anonymous analytics events, only if you opt in. Advertising data (consent-based): ad-serving cookies, only if you opt in.
3. What we use it for
Operating sign-in; assembling and delivering your daily brief to the channel you chose; personalizing which sections lead your edition; measuring (in aggregate, with consent) engagement with the site. We do not sell personal data, we do not use subscriber data to train AI models, and your profile is never shared with other subscribers or published in the brief.
4. Legal bases (EU/UK readers)
Contract performance for accounts and billing; consent for analytics and advertising cookies; legitimate interest for security logging and fraud prevention.
5. Storage, processors, and retention
Account, profile, and delivery data lives in Google Firebase (Auth and Firestore). Hosting is provided by Vercel. Delivery runs through the channel you choose — your email provider, Telegram, or Discord — each of which handles messages under its own terms. Ads, if enabled, are served by Google AdSense. Each processor handles data under its own data-processing agreement.
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected: account, profile, and delivery data for the life of your account and up to 30 days after deletion; any future billing records for as long as tax and accounting law requires (typically up to 7 years); anonymous analytics on a rolling basis (generally up to 24 months) with no personal identifier attached. When data is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights
You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@thenarraitive.com. EU/UK readers additionally have the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Deleting your account removes profile and preference data within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax or fraud-prevention purposes.
7. Cookies
Non-essential cookies stay off until you opt in via the consent banner, and you can change your decision at any time from Account → Settings. Details in the Cookie Policy.
8. Children
The Narraitive is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
Material changes to this policy will be announced on this page with an updated date, and—for account holders—by email when the change affects how we use your data.
